A Study in Sherlock

Portsmouth is extremely proud to have been chosen as the host city for Richard Lancelyn Green's extraordinary collection of Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes related material. Portsmouth City Council understands fully its obligation to develop the Collection so as to make it as accessible as possible to all and in way that enriches the lives of the people who live in our city. We hope and believe that visitors from all over the world will come to the city specifically to see as much of it as is feasible. This publication, A Study in Sherlock: Uncovering the Arthur Conan Doyle Collection, is part of this wider process of display and exhibition, and as such we hope that it stirs an interest in, and appreciation of, the Collection in the minds of those who read it from across the world.
